Frequently asked questions
How long does a full detail take?
Plan for most of the day for a full detail, and a couple of hours for an express. We give you a time window when you book and let you know if the car needs more time once we see it.
How can you clean a car without water?
A polymer spray wraps each dirt particle so it lifts off the paint instead of being dragged. It's the standard method for detailing in garages and lots where there's no hose option.
Does washing without water scratch the paint?
Not when done correctly, and the whole answer is the towels: one panel per clean side, folded and turned constantly, and no towel goes back to the car once it has picked up dirt. Where waterless washing gets its bad reputation is from people using a rag all over the car. If a vehicle is covered in mud, we'll tell you it's not a dry wash job.
What is clay, and do I need it?
Clay lifts the contamination bonded to your paint — the dirt you feel when running your hand over the hood. If we polish without it, we'll grind that dirt into the finish, so it's included in the full and exterior packages.
Do you come to me?
Yes. And if you want the driveway or trim done on the same visit, let us know when booking — it's the same trip for us and cheaper than two.
Can you remove pet hair and stains?
Generally. Shampoo and light stain removal are included in the interior and full packages. For deep or old stains, we'll honestly tell you what we can and can't lift before we start.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of the vehicle and its condition, which is why the estimate is free. You'll have a number before anything starts.
